The Walking Dead hit San Diego Comic-Con again this year, bringing with it hoards of undead cosplayers and excited fans to learn the secrets of the new season.

AMC hosted a panel for the series in Hall H this year, teasing a few details about the upcoming season and dropping a premiere date for the season 6.

As for the premiere date, the show will return to AMC on October 11, 2015. The network officially announced the premiere date after treating the fans in attendance to a new trailer for season six.

At the event were Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd and the showrunner of the series Scott M. Gimple.

As for the cast that came to speak with fans and the press, there were Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz and Lennie James.

October has always been a popular month for The Walking Dead to return. Last year’s season five premiere was on October 12th and brought in over 17.3 million total viewers.
