MTV will be bringing back the popular teen-drama “Teen Wolf” for another season, the network made the confirmation earlier today. The upcoming season will the sixth for the franchise.

MTV made the confirmation at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this evening. Series star Tyler Posey told fans, “I knew the show was great.” Taking a moment to address the fans, Jeff Davis also confirmed that Tyler Posey and the rest of the cast will be returning for the sixth season.

“Teen Wolf” has been a consistent staple at Comic-Con, a series that always brings a large crowd to its panels and holds a large share of the Twitter traffic for television series each week there is a new episode.

At the panel this year were Tyler Posey, Jeff Davis and stars Cody Christian, Holland Roden, Dylan O’Brien and Shelley Hennig.

“Teen Wolf” was developed by Jeff Davis (creator, “Criminal Minds”) who also serves as executive producer. Additional executive producers include Russell Mulcahy (“Highlander,” “Resident Evil: Extinction”), Joe Genier, Marty Adelstein (“Prison Break”), René Echevarria (“Medium,” “Castle”), Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley. The pilot was written by Jeff Davis and Jeph Loeb & Matthew Weisman and directed by Russell Mulcahy.

The “Teen Wolf” series is based on a Screenplay by Jeph Loeb & Matthew Weisman. Julie Schwachenwald, Dana Gotlieb-Carter and Alexandra James are the MTV executives in charge of production.
