Earlier today local police raided the home of Jared Fogle, better known to most Americans as Jared the Subway Guy, who switched to Subway and lost weight. After losing over 300lbs by walking to Subway and cutting calories, Jared quickly became the company’s spokesman and was featured in many commercials.

The raid happened on Tuesday morning, this comes just two months after the executive director of Fogle’s charity foundation was arrested on charges of child pornography.

This morning TheWrap spoke with an FBI spokeswoman named Wendy Osborne, who confirmed a criminal investigation has been started into Fogle’s life and charity and that police did in-fact search Fogle’s home.

The charges stemming from Fogle’s former executive director, Russell Taylor, were very serious. He was arrested on federal child pornography, charged with seven counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Following the raid and the arrest at that time, Fogle issued a statement to Fox59 saying, “I was shocked to learn of the disturbing allegations against Mr. Taylor. Effective immediately, the Jared Foundation is severing all ties with Mr. Taylor.”

The foundation that Fogle began helps fight child obesity.
