Caitlyn Jenner hits NYC Pride weekend ahead of “I am Cait” premiere
Ahead of her new-series premiere next month, Caitlyn Jenner surprised attendees at this year’s NYC Pride Parade. For the past few weeks Caitlyn Jenner has spent most of her time hidden away in within her Malibu home but the celebrity spokeswoman hit New York City’s Gay Pride celebration over the weekend, speaking with the crowd and taking a few pictures.
Jenner made the surprise appearance on Sunday, showing up at Manhattan’s Dream Hotel where she laughed and partied with friends. The event was sponsored by Voss Events, who shared the image below to their Instagram account.
Los Angeles’ DJ Blacklow and New York’s Carlos Jadraque were on-hand as well for the afternoon.
NYC performer and local celebrity Candis Cayne met with Jenner at the event. Cayne made headlines herself as the first Trans actress to be featured on “Dirty Sexy Money.” Donald Sutherland, Billy Baldwin, Natalie Zea and Peter Krause also appeared on that series. Jill Clayburgh, who passed away, was also featured on the show.
While Jenner seemed more than happy to help celebrate the historic weekend here in NYC, she is preparing for her own reality series. The new show, called “I am Cait,” is set to premiere on July 26th. The publicity of the NYC weekend is sure to help the launch.
A recent trailer was released for the series with Jenner speaking openly about her transition saying, ““People don’t understand looking into the mirror and nothing seems right.”
Jenner went on to say, “We’re going to talk about everything.” Later adding, “We’re going to do a lot of fun things for the first time. We’re going to go shopping for the first time. Maybe even some boy stuff, like ride a motorcycle, because girls do that too.”
