Kate Hudson and brother Oliver get disowned by outraged father Bill

The interpersonal relationship between Kate and Oliver Hudson and their biological father Bill took a nasty public turn this week after an interview with Bill was published in the Daily Mail.

The recent uproar began earlier this week, over Father’s Day weekend, when Oliver posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Happy abandonment day…”.

Now Bill has publicly spoken-out against the children, saying they are “Dead” to him, cutting all ties with the family and even going as far as to request that the duo stop using the name Hudson.

At 65 years-old you may not hear too much of Bill Hudson, he doesn’t appear in the media all too often. The interview was intended to tell Bill’s side of the story and even dipped into the marriage of, now ex-wife, Goldie Hawn. Bill claims that Hawn cheated him while he was married and wanted an open-marriage.

Bill states in the interview, “When we split up, she never had a bad word to say about me. But when Kurt came on the scene, the narrative changed and I became the big, bad wolf.” Bill continued, “I would say to her ‘Goldie, why are you trashing me and saying I’m an absent father when it’s simply not the case?’ and she’d laugh and go ‘Oh Bill, you know it makes for a better story.’”

As for the picture posted on Instagram, that seemed to be what spark the need for the sudden interview.

“That was like a dagger to the heart” Bill said. “If what he wanted was me out of their lives, then he’s succeeded. I don’t want to see either of my eldest children ever again. It’s over.”

The interview went on with Bill stating, “I say to them now, ‘I set you free. I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three.”

“I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own. I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life,” Bill goes on to say. “Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.”
