Bella Thorne, Patrick Schwarzenegger to star in Midnight Sun
Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger will continue their box-office domination together in 2016. The two rising-stars have been cast opposite each other in a new YA love-story called “Midnight Sun.
This year has been a breakout year for both actors, though Patrick Schwarzenegger caught more headlines for his famous break-up rather than movie-roles for most of the year.
Schwarzenegger will star opposite Thorne in a new adaptation of “Midnight Sun,” which was originally a 2006 Japanese film telling the story of a young-girl named Katie (played by Thorne), suffering from a medical condition that doesn’t allow her to be exposed to the sun.
Despite this setback, Katie meets Charlie (portrayed by Schwarzenegger) and the two spend a romantic summer together despite her condition. Thorne has had quite a standout year in films. The popular red-head had “The Duff,” earlier this year, and will star in the TV events “Perfect High” and “Scream”.
Thorne is also set to star in “Amityville: The Reawakening,” she will be lending her voice to the new Ratchet and Clank film as well.
Midnight Sun is set to begin shooting in September, directing the film will be Scott Speer.
