Gillian Flynn’s Dark Places gets a trailer
Charlize Theron stars in the first trailer for “Dark Places,” the latest film-adaptation of a Gillian Flynn novel. The thriller is based on the novel of the same name and will be the follow-up hit to “Gone Girl.”
Directing the film will be Gilles Paquet-Brenner but Flynn did not write the screenplay for this film, instead Paquet-Brenner took the job.
The film stars Theron as Libby Day, who as a child survived a horrific family massacre caused by her brother. The film picks up after a man (Nicholas Hoult) meets Libby and tells her that he belongs to a group of people that thinks her brother was innocent, and that what really happened was covered up all those years ago.
Joining Hoult and Theron in the film are Christina Hendricks, Chloë Grace Moretz and Drea de Matteo .
Fans can see “Dark Places” in theaters on August 7, 2015.
