Fashion Police is coming back, this time with Melissa Rivers
After a few weeks off, E! announced today that Melissa Rivers will be the new co-host of E!’s “Fashion Police.” The show is set to return on Monday, August 31st.
This time the show will return with Melissa Rivers, who co-star with current panelists Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski. It was also confirmed that Rivers will also serve as executive producer on the series.
In each episode, the trio will be joined by two additional rotating celebrity guests, including comedians, stylists, actors and more. “Fashion Police” returns for six episodes surrounding some of the biggest fashion and pop culture events starting Monday, August 31st with coverage of MTV’s Video Music Awards.
“As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape ‘Fashion Police’ into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Programming and Development for E!. “We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the ‘Fashion Police’ cameras, as she joins returning panelists Giuliana and Brad. And with the added flavor of rotating panelists, the show will deliver fresh, different and unpredictable fashion reviews with each new episode.”
“I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to continue to work with my E! and ‘Fashion Police’ family,” said Rivers.
Melissa of course is the daughter of the late Joan Rivers, who starred in four seasons of WEtv’s hit reality series, Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? with Melissa. Joan was also the star of “Fashion Police.”
Earlier this year, Melissa developed and anchored the special interview series “A Conversation With” for Entertainment Tonight. River is the New York Times best-selling author of The Book of Joan: Tales of Mirth, Mischief, and Manipulation (Crown Archetype), which was released in May 2015.
Melissa is a board member of “God’s Love We Deliver” and the spokesperson for “Our House Grief Center” in Los Angeles. Rivers currently lives in Los Angeles with her son, Cooper, and their two dogs. “Fashion Police” is produced by Wilshire Studios. Lisa Bacon and Melissa Rivers serve as Executive Producers.
