As promised Bethesda Softworks had a laundry-list of surprises and confirmations for “Fallout 4” at this year’s pre-E3 2015 event. The company had a special preview of what the publisher and its developers will be releasing over the next few years and at the top of the list was “Fallout 4.”

The game will release worldwide on November 10, 2015 on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and PC. In the game you will play as the sole survivor of Vault 111, and once again you will enter a world destroyed by nuclear war.

When describing the setting the publisher stated, “Every second is a fight for survival, and every choice is yours. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland. Welcome home.”

As with other Fallout games in the series gamers will be treated to an open world, filled with “hundreds of locations, characters, and quests.” Players will be able to join multiple factions vying for power or they can choose to “go it alone,” the choice will be up to the player.

The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. character system will return once again, allowing players to be anything from a super Power Armored soldier, or the character that could talk his or her way out of any situation. Bethesda stated that players will be able to “choose from hundreds of Perks and develop your own playstyle.”

The game will run on “next generation graphics” and a new lighting engine. All of this will add to the Commonwealth of Boston as players explore the city and the surrounding area.

Also returning this year will be the dynamic Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S) that lets you choose your attacks and enjoy cinematic carnage.

Bethesda also stated that crafting will play a major role in the gameplay (should you want it too) and will be expanded more in this game than with previous titles. The company stated, “Collect, upgrade, and build thousands of items in the most advanced crafting system ever. Weapons, armor, chemicals, and food are just the beginning – you can even build and manage entire settlements.”

The game will also come with a PIP-BOY addition, (you can play the video below and see part of the E3 showcase on the pip-boy) that will allow you to wear the iconic PIP-BOY on you wrist (via your phone) and interact with the game. It’s probably one of the best things we could hope for as Fallout fans.
