The second trailer for 20th Century FOX’s film-adaptation of “Paper Towns” has been released. The new film is the latest of John Green’s popular young-adult novels to hit the big-screen, once again starring Nat Wolff.
Green set the box-office bar pretty high with “The Fault in Our Stars,” which was an overnight success when it was released almost exactly one-year ago today. The film grossed almost $125M at the global box-office, and was well received by young-viewers.
With “The Fault in Our Stars” behind us it’s time to move on to new Green novels. Now fans will shift their focus to Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne, the two stars of “Paper Towns”. Joining the popular actors on-screen are Halston Sage, Austin Abrams, Jaz Sinclair and Justice Smith. “Paper Towns” was directed by Josh Boone, working off a screenplay written by Scott Neustadter, which is the same screenwriter that worked with Green on TFIOS.
The studio calls “Paper Towns” a “coming-of-age story,” following the life of Quentin and his neighbor Margo. Quentin’s life is turned upside down when Margo suddenly disappears, leaving only vague clues and hints at what may have happened to her.
Margo suddenly goes missing after sharing an adventurous night with Quentin in their usually quiet small-town. Margo isn’t just gone, she left behind clues for Quentin to decipher and the search goes on from there.
The search leads Quentin and his quick-witted friends on an exhilarating adventure that is equal parts hilarious and moving. Ultimately, to track down Margo, “Quentin must find a deeper understanding of true friendship–and true love,” the studio teases.
Paper Towns is expected to launch in theaters on July 24, 2015.
