Fans of the “Evil Dead” franchise can get their first look at “Ash vs Evil Dead,” a new television series set to expand the story first created in the 1980s. Bruce Campbell will be returning, he will reprise his role as Ash in the new series set to air on Starz later this year.

If you missed out on the original films, the story followed a couple of doomed teens that accidently summoned an evil spirit that slowly tortured and killed them.

Starz has already ordered ten-episodes of “Ash vs Evil Dead” for the first season, which is set to premiere later this fall. Season one is currently still in production and the cast and crew have taken residence in New Zealand to create the series.

“Ash vs Evil Dead” will feature Bruce Campbell as Ash. Lucy Lawless will join-in as Ruby, a woman that thinks Ash being present during evil-summonings isn’t just a coincidence, but thinks he may be the reason behind them.

Ray Santiago will play Pablo Simon Bolivar, a sidekick to Ash, while Dana DeLorenzo will play Kelly Maxwell, a runaway lone-wolf. Jill Marie Jones will play ex-cop Amanda Fisher, who thinks Ash killed her former partner.

Craig DiGregorio was the original power behind the film franchise, he will return as an executive producer. Sam and Ivan Raimi are directing the first episode to hook-fans, this marks the first teaser-trailer released by the network to promote the film.
