Bradley Cooper, Jim Parsons on latest list of Tony Award presenters
We are just a few weeks away from the 69TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS, the event will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7 at 8:00pm ET. CBS has confirmed that Jason Alexander, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Chlumsky, Bradley Cooper, Misty Copeland and Bryan Cranston will all be attending the event, and will serve as presenters for the show.
Also added to the list of presenters are Larry David, Taye Diggs, Sutton Foster, Neil Patrick Harris, Marg Helgenberger, Joe Manganiello, Debra Messing, Jennifer Nettles, Jim Parsons, David Hyde Pierce, Thomas Sadoski, Amanda Seyfried, Taylor Schilling, Corey Stoll, Kiefer Sutherland, Sting, Ashley Tisdale, Tommy Tune and Rita Wilson.
As previously announced, Tony Award winners Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming will host the awards show, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway.
This year marks the 69th anniversary of the Tony Awards, which were first held on April 6, 1947 at the Waldorf Astoria’s Grand Ballroom. The ceremony is presented by Tony Award Productions, which is a joint venture of The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, which founded the Tonys.
The 2013 Tony Awards broadcast was honored with three Primetime Emmy Awards in the categories of Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Special Class Program and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for “Bigger!”
Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment will return as executive producers. Weiss will also serve as director for the 16th consecutive year.
