Jessica Lange to return to Broadway in “Long Day’s Journey Into Night”

Fans of FX’s “American Horror Story” were most likely saddened to hear that popular actor Jessica Lange wouldn’t be returning for the “Hotel” installment, but they will still get a chance to see the star when she hits Broadway to be part of “Long Day’s Journey Into Night” in the spring of next year.

Lange has been absent from Broadway for over ten-years now, but she will return alongside Gabriel Byrne and John Gallagher Jr. when the Eugene O’Neill drama returns for a spring 2016 revival.

Ryan Murphy, the same man that worked with Lange in “American Horror Story” for four-years will be producing the project. The production will also be part of the Roundabout Theater Company, which has been on a roll these past few years casting gigantic Hollywood stars like Ewan McGregor (“The Real Thing”) and Emma Stone (“Cabaret”) in wonderfully popular productions. Jonathan Kent (“Faith Healer,” “Hamlet” starring Ralph Fiennes) will lead the production.

“Long Day’s Journey” will begin previews on March 31, 2016. The production will then open on April 19, 2016. The event will take place at the Roundabout’s American Airlines Theater.
