Sorry “Full House” fans, it looks like the show won’t be a ‘perfect’ reunion after-all. Since the announcement of Netflix’s upcoming series ‘Fuller House’ many fans have been wondering if Mary-Kate Olsen and/or Ashley Olsen will return to their previous role of Michelle Tanner, the role that began their rise to fame and helped the duo build a multi-million dollar empire. Sadly, it looks like the famous twins won’t be part of the new series.

In the original ABC series both twins (they were infants at the time) played the singular role of Michelle Tanner, daughter of Danny Tanner (played by Bob Saget). THR has now confirmed with the Olsen’s rep that the two sisters will not be participating, and instead, will continue to focus their time and energies on their current careers.

“Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of ‘Fuller House,’ I know how much ‘Full House’ has meant to them and they are still very much considered family,” said series executive producer Robert L. Boyett in a prepared statement. “It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes toward ‘Fuller House.’”

It has already been confirmed that former “Full House” star John Stamos will return to the series as Jesse Katsopolis (or as he more commonly referred to, Uncle Jesse). Stamos won’t be a regular on the show, but will instead be a guest star in certain episodes, Stamos is also a producer on the new series.

The show itself is expected to follow the modern-life of former youngster D.J., played once again by Candace Cameron Bure. Fans might remember D.J. as the older and wiser sister of the children, but now she is all grown-up with a family of her own. In the new show D.J. is expected to be widowed, and just like her father before her, relying on her family and friends to help her raise her three children,

Returning with Stamos and Cameron-Bure are Dave Coulier,, Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin.
