Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video is already breaking records
As expected, Taylor Swift’s latest music-video has destroyed previous VEVO records. The femme-fatale video, which features an extensive list of Swift’s popular BFF’s in various industries, rocketed to the top to become the most-watched video of all time in a 24-hour period.
The video was released earlier this week, premiering first on the Billboard Music Awards. Called “Bad Blood” the video featured Kendrick Lamar and wide-array of female-friends, set to Swift’s latest single.
With over 20.1 million views on Vevo.com, YouTube, Xbox, Roku and other Vevo platforms in just 24 hours, the video is still climbing. The previous title-holder was Nicki Minaj, with her racy video for her hit song “Anaconda.” Minaj won the title back in August 2014, the video earned 19.6 million views in the same time-period.
Now in third-place for the same record is Miley Cyrus with her video for “Wrecking Ball,” that video earned 19.3 million views, and One Direction’s “Best Song Ever” moves to fourth-place with 12.3 million views.
Joining Swift in the video are Selena Gomez as Arsyn, Karlie Kloss as Knockout, Kendrick Lamar as Welvin Da Great, Martha Hunt as HomeSlice, Jessica Alba as Domino, Serayah as Dilemma, Lena Dunham as Lucky Fiori, Hailee Steinfeld as The Trinity, Ellie Goulding as Destructa X, GiGi Hadid as Slay-Z and Hayley Williams as The Crimson Curse.
