What to Read: Best Books in May 2015
We are nearing the middle of May, spring is finally in the air and summer reading is just around the corner. While we sit in parks, relax through car-trips and enjoy luncheons outside for the time in weeks, poolside reading and beach-weekends are only a few weeks away.
Just as we have in the past, we asked the team at Amazon’s Books Editors which of the latest arrivals are creating the most buzz at the popular online-seller. This month there are eleven choices, spanning almost every genre that a reader could hope-for. From historical crime-thrillers to dramatic retellings of family-life and heartbreak, everyone should be able to find a new book over the coming weeks.
The historical-reader should enjoy ‘The Wright Brothers,’ written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner David McCullough. The novel tells the story of the famous two-brothers and their quest to fly, while the fantasy reader might want to checkout the novel written by Sabaa Tahir called ‘An Ember in the Ashes.’ The book was released in late April, but if you happened to miss the release, and are looking to start a new fantasy novel, then you should give it a look. In the same thread, New York Times bestselling author Neal Stephenson (Anathem, Reamde, and Cryptonomicon) has released his latest sci-fi work ‘Seveneves’.
One highly-anticipated novel on the list comes from first-time author Sarai Walker called ‘Dietland.’ This may be Walker’s first novel, but you may have read her work before if you enjoy such publications as Seventeen Magazine, or Mademoiselle.
