H1Z1 offers female characters with new patch

We are currently in Daybreak’s Celebration Week, and H1Z1 players will notice that have another major patch available to them when they go to logon to the game. The update includes the first iteration of the female model, allowing players to now choose between a male or female character, and First-Person Battle Royale, a “hardcore” version of the game mode. Additionally, the update grants every player a celebratory in-game Daybreak T-shirt featuring the new company logo.

There will also be H1Z1 livestream today at 2:30 p.m. PDT, as a Landmark / EverQuest Next dev team member tries to survive as long as possible in the world of H1Z1. You can catch that broadcast when it airs on twitch.tv/daybreakgames

The company wrote to players in the annoucnement stating, “We will be collecting a list of current players for the FREE Daybreak t-shirt grant. This grant will happen after the servers go live. Steam Marketplace is being moved to our Quality of Life patch next week. We’re working with Steam to make sure all the bugs are ironed out. This is a bigger ticket item and requires multiple passes from us and Steam. It almost made it into this patch but unfortunately had to be moved.”

Reddit is currently hosting the patch-notes for players of the game. If you would like to read all of the tweaks and changes that were made with the new update you can do so by following the Reddit thread here.
