Alchemy has released the first trailer for ‘Strangerland,’ a film that the studio acquired at the Sundance Film Festival this year. Starring in the film are Nicole Kidman and Joseph Fiennes as a couple looking for their missing son and daughter. The two children simply disappeared from a small Australian town just as a large storm-dust hits. The investigation into the event shines a light on the couple, which may reveal more than they hoped for.

Hugo Weaving stars as a detective that helps the couple search for their missing children. Joining Kidman and Fiennes in the film are Lisa Flanagan, Meyne Wyatt, Maddison Brown and Nicholas Hamilton. Michael Kiniroons and Fiona Seres wrote the script to the film, Kim Farrant directed the project. The film is expected to release later this summer in theaters.

Kidman has several films in the works, including the recently announced ‘How to Talk to Girls at Parties,’ with Elle Fanning. Kidman is currently filming ‘I Lion’ with Rooney Mara as well. ‘I Lion’ is a film that follows a lost Indian boy that is adopted by an Australian couple. It’s after this that the young-man sets off to find his former family. The film is being directed by Garth Davis, based on the novel written by Saroo Brierley. Luke Davies wrote the screenplay for the film.

Before that, Kidman will star in ‘Secret in Their Eyes,’ a film that she will star-in alongside Julia Roberts and Michael Kelly. That film is based on the novel written by Eduardo Sacheri. ‘Genius’ is also based on a novel, written by A. Scott Berg, which will star Kidman, Colin Firth and Jude Law.

As for ‘Strangerland,’ the film will release in theaters on July 10, 2015/.
