Universal Pictures has released the second trailer for one of this summer’s largest blockbusters, ‘Jurassic World’. The new film will star Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson and Irrfan Khan. Joining them on screen will be Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Judy Greer.

This new installment was directed by Colin Trevorrow, working from a script that he wrote with Derek Connolly. The film is based on the characters that were created by Michael Crichton, and the film was produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. Steven Spielberg and Thomas Tull served as executive producers on the film.

As fans get ready to return to the Jurassic Park series later this summer, it may be hard to believe that it has been twenty-two years since we were introduced to the world of Jurassic Park. The original film was released back in 1993, and the island of Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, called Jurassic World. The park has taken on the original vision that its creator foretold in the first-film, and it seems more remarkable than John Hammond could have ever dreamed.

In the film, things have been running smoothly for 10 years, but visitor rates are declining. Now, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor’s interest, which backfires horribly in true Jurassic Park style.

Jurassic World will be released in 3D by Universal Pictures on June 12, 2015.
