In the racing game genre, there exists a popular “subgenre,” if you will, of rally racing games. We currently have two major offers in the rally category; Dirt and WRC. Both games are decent enough, with Dirt providing more of a mainstream experience and WRC focusing specifically on the WRC season and teams.

Bandai Namco announced today that developer Milestone will add another entry to rally racing: Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo. Created with the legendary Loeb himself, Rally Evo will launch this autumn on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Rally Evo will let players experience the ultra competitive world of rally with advanced physics and environmental effect, a huge variety of popular cars, realistic AI, a comprehensive career and multiplayer modes.

Being a racing game, the cars are naturally the star of the show, and Rally Evo will not disappoint. The game will offer a wealth of vehicles from the past and present in every major category, from Group B to modern WRC. The cars will exhibit accurate damage which will include scratches, tire punctures, and car deformation. The tracks will feature weather effects that include rain and wind, along with dawn, noon, sunset, and night settings. Nine time WRC Champion Sebastien Loeb will serve as the player’s guide through the career mode, which will challenge gamers to race in a variety of rally events to earn money and unlock more vehicles.

“Sébastien Loeb is a sportsman of the highest level, and Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo captures the excitement of his world with intense rally racing, a deep catalog of tracks and vehicles, and an immersive racing experience,” said Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. “With the power of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the team at Milestone has created the ultimate rally racer, and every powerslide, bump and collision is crafted by people with a clear love of the sport.”
