Chris Pratt brings the action in first ‘Jurassic World’ clip
Universal has released the first clip of ‘Jurassic World,’ the latest installment to the popular dino-franchise due out later this year. The film stars Chris Pratt, Jake Johnson and Judy Greer, joining them on screen will be Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Omar Sy and of course BD Wong. Colin Trevorrow is directing the new installment, he co-wrote the script with Derek Connolly and of course the film is based on the characters created by Michael Crichton. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley are producing the film, with Thomas Tull serving as an executive producer. Steven Spielberg will also be returning to the franchise to executive produce.
Chris Pratt is coming off his breakthrough year starring in both ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and The Lego Movie in 2014. Now that Pratt is finished with his role as Andy Dwyer in ‘Parks and Recreation,’ we hope to see a lot more of him in the future. Pratt is expected to star in ‘The Magnificent Seven’ alongside Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. Antoine Fuqua is set to direct the film, working on a script written by Akira Kurosawa and based on the screenplay by Shinobu Hashimoto. The film will be a remake of the popular classic from 1960. The original film starred Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson and was directed by John Sturges.
Meanwhile Judy Greer has been killing it as Cheryl Tunt in the animated series ‘Archer’ on FX. Greer is also set to star in Disney’s ‘Tomorrowland’ with George Clooney, she will also appear in the films ‘Ant-Man,’ ‘Geezer’ and ‘The Hebrew Hammer vs. Hitler.’
The next installment of the extremely popular Jurassic Park series will be called ‘Jurassic World,’ and will be released in 3D by Universal Pictures on June 12, 2015.
