Schwarzenegger zombie drama ‘Maggie’ releases a trailer
There are plenty of zombie-dramas to choose from when watching television or going to see a movie, but few offer the action-stylings of Mr. Schwarzenegger. In a new film expected to be released this summer, Schwarzenegger will be starring in a new horror-thriller called ‘Maggie.’ Also starring in the film are Abigail Breslin and Joely Richardson.
The film was directed by Henry Hobson, working from a screenplay written by John Scott. The story follows a midwestern teen girl that becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease. If you haven’t guessed yet, the disease slowly turns the infected person into a cannibalistic zombie. During her transformation, her loving father stays by her side to protect her, with the hope that he will find a cure.
Arnold has a few films set to release over the next three years, including ‘Terminator Genisys’ in 2015. That film will also star ‘Game of Thrones’ favorite Emilia Clarke as well as ‘Doctor Who’ alum Matt Smith. Also appearing in the film are J.K. Simmons and Jai Courtney. Alan Taylor taylor directed ‘Terminator Genisys,’ Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier wrote the script for the film.
After Genisys Schwarzenegger is expected to begin work on ‘The Legend of Conan,’ a new installment to the 1982 film ‘Conan the Barbarian.’ If everything goes according to plan, Schwarzenegger will once again be playing the role of Conan for the new installment.
That’s not the only throwback option for Arnold, a sequel to the buddy-comedy ‘Twins’ is also in the works. Ivan Reitman is set to direct the next film, Ryan Dixon and Josh Gad are writing the screenplay. Both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito are expected to reprise their roles as the once-separated Twins, only in this story, they find out they were really triplets. Eddie Murphy is also expected to star in the film. No release date has been given at this time.
