20th Century Fox will deliver the next John Green film-adaptation to theaters this summer, and the first trailer for the film has been released to kickoff the spring marketing campaign. It’s only been a few months since audiences around the world fell in love with ‘The Fault in Our Stars,’ starring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort and Nat Wolff, but now another film based on the work of the popular author is ready to take its place. You can watch the first trailer for the film below.
Called ‘Paper Towns’ the new film isn’t as melancholy a story as the ill-fated lovers in ‘The Fault in our Stars’ but Nat Wolff does return in a new role. The new YA adaptation is more teen mystery-drama than its tear-jerking predecessor, but just like the last film, a high-profile young cast is expected to draw a large audience when the film releases this summer.
In the film Nat Wolff stars as Quentin, an average high-school senior who has spent a great deal of time pining over his neighbor Margo (played by Cara Delevingne). One night Margo and Quentin spend the night playing jokes on friends and classmates, but she disappears quickly after. Quentin promises to find her, and learns about the hardships of youth and love along the way.
Cara Delevingne has a few blockbusters set to release over the next few years, including ‘Suicide Squad’ as the Enchantress. In that film Delevingne will star alongside Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Will Smith; just to name a few of the actors that will take-up supervillains or superheroes in the film. She will also appear in Hugh Jackman’s ‘PAN’ as one of the lovely, and sometimes dangerous, Mermaids.
Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber wrote the screenplay for the adaptation, they were also the team that adapted ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ for the big-screen. The film was directed by Jake Schreier and the film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 24, 2015.
