Things keep going from bad to worse for the E! network when it comes to the once popular “Fashion Police” series. Now that Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne have both decided to officially leave the show, the network has been forced to but the former hit-show on hiatus. A semi-permanent pause, but it’s not the planned end of the show according to the network.
Few series are ever able to return from hiatus but the network promises that the show will return before awards season next year. The network has released an official statement on the matter. Here is the official announcement in its entirety.
“E!’s comedy series “Fashion Police” is going on hiatus and will return in September. We look forward to taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season. Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with Executive Producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of “Fashion Police” fans around the world.”
It seems the show will simply ride-out the bad press caused from the two previous hosts leaving, and hopes that the mess caused with Giuliana Rancic’s comments made earlier this year simply fade-out so that the show can start anew. There was no mention of any new hosts that might be added to the show. More information on a premiere date and any new castings will be announced at a later date. Maybe the second go around for the series will go better than the last few weeks.
