Soon there will be no room left at the inn, but we don’t think AHS fans will mind another returning character. FX’s anthology series, ‘American Horror Story Hotel,’ has added yet another high-profile actor to its cast-list. It was confirmed today that Wes Bentley will be joining the cast in the fifth season of the popular series. It was showrunner Ryan Murphy that confirmed the news, making the announcement to his followers on Twitter earlier today.

Murphy simply stated, “Thrilled to announce Wes Bentley will be a series regular on AHS: Hotel.” Wes Bentley isn’t a stranger to the series, appeared on season four, called ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show,’ in the role of Edward Mordrake.

Bentley will be sharing the small-screen with a few other popular names on season five. Bentley joins Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson on the cast-list for season five. On a somber note, FX did confirm that American Horror Story will be continuing without its former leading lady, Jessica Lange, who was on the series for the first four seasons.

Since his role in ‘The Hunger Games’ as Seneca Crane, Bentley has been quite busy. A few standout films that feature the popular actor include ‘Lovelace,’ ‘Welcome to Me,’ ‘Interstellar’ and ‘Cesar Chavez’. Bentley is also set to appear in the upcoming remake of ‘Pete’s Dragon’ as Jack. Bentley will star alongside Robert Redford and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Kathy Bates has not made an official announcement that she will be returning, but she is expected to do so for at least the fifth season. This will be the first time in the series’ history that Wes Bentley will be named as a series regular. As for the series itself, American Horror Story: Hotel is scheduled to premiere on FX this October. The cast and crew are scheduled to start production in the summer.
