Game of Thrones season five will premiere simultaneously around the world
If you missed the ‘Game of Thrones’ season five trailer that was shown during the Apple Spring Press event, you can watch it now, thanks to a recent upload by HBO to the show’s official YouTube channel. The hit HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’ is scheduled to return for its fifth season in just about two-months, and to get fans excited, HBO has been releasing teasers and a few short trailers for the last few weeks to keep fans excited for the big premiere.
If you are planning to watch the premiere when it goes live on April 12, you won’t be alone. Time Warner and HBO confirmed that the fifth season of “Game of Thrones” will premiere simultaneously in more than 170 countries and territories along with our U.S. airing on Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. Eastern. HBO is calling it a “global television event” as each week the show will premiere around the world to millions of viewers.
Along with the United States, HBO Asia, HBO Canada, HBO Europe, HBO Latin America, HBO Netherlands and HBO Nordic. Also included are international “Home of HBO” services including: Africa/M-Net, Australia/Foxtel, Belgium(Flemish)/Telenet, France/Orange, Iceland/365 Media, Israel/DBS, Sky Deutschland, Sky Italia and SKY New Zealand. HBO licensing partners in the simulcast include: Belgium(French)/Betv, Greece/Intervision, Russia/Amedia and Spain/DT.
It will be a premiere fit for a king, and for fans of the series the fifth season just can’t get here soon enough. You can probably expect a few more teasers, and maybe another trailer to be released by the network as well go into the final stretch before the first episode premieres.
