Leading up to the official release of the new series this April, Netflix has release an official trailer for the new series Daredevil. Featuring Daredevil’s nemesis, ‘The Kingpin,’ the trailer highlights the cast that will bring the popular superhero’s story to life on the small-screen. Daredevil is just one of several new Marvel series that are expected to launch on the popular video-streaming service, ‘Jessica Jones’ is also set to release from Marvel in the future.

Marvel’s Daredevil will premiere all thirteen-episodes later this year on Netflix. The official premiere date is set for April 10, 2015. Charlie Cox is starring in the new adapatation as as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Cox will be joined by Vincent D’Onofrio (previously announced as Wilson Fisk) and Rosario Dawson. Marvel’s Daredevil follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (“Spartacus”, “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer”, “Angel”) and Drew Goddard (“Cabin in the Woods,” “Lost,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”, in addition to writing the first two episodes of Daredevil), along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville,” “Heroes”). Marvel’s Daredevil is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.
