Walt Disney Studios has released a new trailer for ‘Tomorrowland,’ set to release in theaters this May. The film comes from two-time Oscar winner Brad Bird, and stars Academy Award winner George Clooney opposite Britt Robertson. The film follows a former boy-genius named Frank (played by Clooney), who has slowly become quite jaded over the years as his career in science hasn’t gone exactly as planned. Soon Frank meets Casey (played by Britt Robertson), who is a young and extremely intelligent young teen, that has yet to take on Frank’s cynical view of science and exploration

In the film the two undertake a dangerous mission to find the secrets of a strange land somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” The screenplay for the film comes from former “Lost” writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird. The story is based on one written by Lindelof & Bird & Jeff Jensen. Disney states that the film, “promises to take audiences on a thrill ride of nonstop adventures through new dimensions that have only been dreamed of.”

The film also stars Hugh Laurie as scientist David Nix, also appearing in the film are Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Robinson. “Tomorrowland” is produced by Damon Lindelof, Brad Bird and Jeffrey Chernov and directed by Brad Bird, with John Walker, Brigham Taylor, Jeff Jensen and Bernard Bellew serving as executive producers.

Britt Robertson may be known best for her role in the ‘Under the Dome’ series as Angie McAlister, though the young actor has quite a successful career behind her already. Robertson was recently featured in ‘The Longest Ride’ as Sophia Danko, she also starred in ‘Cake’ with Jennifer Aniston in the role of Becky. Robertson is also set to star in the upcoming Eddie Murphy and Natascha McElhone film ‘Cook,’ but that film does not have a release date at this time.
