Game of Thrones season five art shows a lion and a dragon
The two groups are destined to meet, the Lannisters and their Lions and the Targaryns and their dragons, and to the victor of their battles goes a chance at the Iron Throne itself. It may seem like forever from now, but HBO’s hit series ‘Game of Thrones’ is scheduled to return for its fifth season in under two-months, and the network has released some very interesting key-art for the new season to get fans excited for the premiere.
While the official return to Westeros or Essos won’t begin until the premiere airs on April 12, fans all the around the world have been pouring over key-art like the one below, and other short promotional clips released by HBO, for any hints and details that can be extracted early before the new season begins.
IF you have been keeping up with the last four seasons, then read-on, if not, you go ahead at your own risk. At the dramatic end of the fourth season on ‘Game of Thrones’ we saw Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) preparing to flee King’s Landing after a infamous murder. Now Tyrion must brave the waters of the Narrow Seas, and it appears he may be going straight into the dragon’s den by doing so. That wonderful season four finale was watched by over 7 million viewers and left a lot terrific story-lines wide open for the premiere.
Fans of the original novels know that the dragons play a key-role in a few upcoming moments if they are to be added from the books. Season 5 is based on the work of George R.R. Martin’s ‘A Feast Of Crows and A Dance Of Dragons’ from the ‘A Song Of Ice and Fire’ series. HBO already renewed ‘Game of Thrones’ for a sixth season, even though the fifth season hasn’t even begun at this point.
