GTA V delayed on PC as Rockstar readies Hesits
Bad news for players that have been waiting for Grand Theft Auto to release on PC, you will have to wait a little bit longer. Rockstar Games made the announcement earlier this week that GTA 5 will be delayed shortly for the PC, as well as announcing that the company will be releasing Heists for GTA Online on March 10th.
The delay is unfortunate, but as for the online Heists mode, that’s a little bit more encouraging. The new game-mode will bring a brand new 4-player cooperative gameplay experience to GTA Online, giving players the chance to team up and organize a string of intense, multi-part raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County.
Rockstar Games has promised to release more information on Heists over the next couple of weeks, as well as detailing new features that the company will release with the game-mode on launch. You can expect to jump into that online mode later next month.
GTAV for PC will be arriving on April 14th at retail and as a digital download. Rockstar Games commented on the delay saying, “Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC.”
As for the game itself, Rockstar is calling the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V the, “most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.”
