Lady Gaga to star in ‘American Horror Story’ season five
Lady Gaga wowed audiences across the world at the Academy Awards this year, and her next performance should be just as amazing. It was confirmed today that Lady Gaga has signed a new deal with FX that will have the performer/actor starring in the upcoming fifth season of “American Horror Story.”
The next season’s title hasn’t been disclosed at this time, but Ryan Murphy will have Lady Gaga as his muse for the next installment to the popular series. The show has been on a role for the past four seasons, thanks in large part to its amazing cast and long-list of surprising guest-stars. The show comes from executive producer Ryan Murphy. More information on Lady Gaga’s role and the title of the next season are expected to be released over the next few weeks.
This will be the first major television role for Lady Gaga, who has appeared in several films in the past, including ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’. Previously her television work has been guest-starring roles, usually just for one-episode.
FX stopped short of detailing Gaga’s character, since the plot and story-line of the series has not been official announced at this time. Gaga will be joining previous stars on the show like Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates and Michael Chiklis. Murphy has stated in the past that all four previous seasons are connected, but fans will have to wait until the show reveals that big surprise when Murphy is finally ready to unveil it. The latest installment, called “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” was the most-watched of all four seasons, putting a lot of pressure on the team to make season five even bigger.
Fans that are excited for the new season to start have a moderately long-wait ahead of them, season 5 will premiere on FX this October.
