Aloha gets first trailer, Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone lead A-list cast
The cast behind Cameron Crowe’s “Aloha” reads like a guest-list for the Academy Awards, and Columbia Pictures has finally released the first trailer for the upcoming summer-film. Aloha, a celebrated military contractor (Bradley Cooper) returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs – the US Space program in Honolulu, Hawaii – and reconnects with a long-ago love (Rachel McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog (Emma Stone) assigned to him.
Leading this A-List cast is Academy Award-winner Cameron Crowe, the writer-director behind such films as Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous, Aloha also stars Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride, and Alec Baldwin. Like we said, the cast is quite an amazing group of actors. Scott Rudin and Cameron Crowe are producing the film, with Ilona Herzberg, Eli Bush and Ben Waisbren serving as Executive Producers.
Emma Stone is coming off her wonderful performance in ‘Birdman,’ while Bradley Cooper recently starred in the record breaking film ‘American Sniper,’ as Chris Kyle. ‘True Detective’ fans will see a lot more Rachel McAdams, she will be playing the role of Ani Bezzerides when the series returns for season two on HBO. Bill Murray is currently working on ‘The Jungle Book,’ a film in which he will be voicing Baloo the bear.
As for Cameron Crowe he has been quite busy, even outside of ‘ALOHA’. He has been working with Christina Hendricks, Imogen Poots, Luke Wilson and Rafe Spall on the upcoming T.V. series ‘Roadies,’ which is set to follow a fictitious road crew as they travel with a rock band through their major multi-city tour. If you’re excited to see ‘ALOHA’ you do have a long wait, the film won’t be released in theaters until this summer, with a release date scheduled for May 29, 2015. At least you can count on a few more trailers while you wait for the summer release.
