Disney teases “Frozen Fever” with new images
As we reported earlier this year, a new animated short expanding the world of Disney’s mega-hit ‘Frozen’, will be released later this year, and Disney has released the first teaser images from the film. Walt Disney Studios announced a few of the details earlier this year, but the first images of “Frozen Fever” were posted this morning as part of an early promotion of the film for fans to get excited about.
In total there were five new “Frozen Fever” pics shared with fans, and just like the first film, the Arendelle world will be complete with Queen Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel), Princess Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell), Kristoff (voiced by Jonathan Groff) and Olaf the snowman (voiced by Josh Gad). The film is expected to be a simple-short, clocking in at about seven-minutes long. The new addition to the Frozen world will first be released in theaters, a wintry treat for fans when they go to the movies to see the live-action adaptation of Disney’s “Cinderella” when it hits screens on March 13, 2015. That film features Lily James (of “Downton Abbey” fame), Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter. That film was directed by Kenneth Branagh, based on a screenplay written by Chris Weitz.
Not only will all of the popular Frozen characters reunite for the film, there will also be a brand-new song written by the same Academy Award-winning “Let It Go” duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Josh Gad talked to USA Today about the new song saying, “If history is any indicator, kids will go nuts.”
Disney released the pics to their Frozen Facebook page, with Kristoff, Olaf and Sven the reindeer looking better than ever. You can checkout the official posting below, and if you would like to be one of the first families to see the new short, make sure you hit the theaters when “Cinderella” releases later this year.
