Just a week after it was confirmed that ‘Glee’ star Lea Michele would be starring in the new horror-comedy series ‘Scream Queens,’ it turns out that Nick Jonas will be on the show as well. Jonas will star in a recurring role on the series, though exact details on his character were not released at this time.
The season-one cast is already quite impressive, it includes Jamie Lee Curtis (“Halloween”), Emma Roberts (“American Horror Story: Freak Show”), Joe Manganiello (“True Blood,” “Magic Mike XXL”), Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Lea Michele (GLEE), Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin (“Little Miss Sunshine,” “Zombieland,” “August: Osage County”) and Keke Palmer (“Akeela and the Bee,” “Masters of Sex”) were previously announced in starring roles in the limited series. Additionally, Grammy Award nominee and actress Ariana Grande will guest-star in a recurring role.
The show was ordered straight to series, season one will consists of 15-episodes. The exact premiere date has yet to be nailed-down but season-one is scheduled to start in the fall of this year. Each season will offer up a new storyline, the first taking place on a college campus where a series of mysterious murders have the students and faculty stumped and scared.
Nick Jonas is no stranger to television of course, he has appeared in numerous series including ‘Hawaii Five-0,’ ‘Smash,’ ‘Last Man Standing’ and ‘Jonas’ back in 2010. More information on guest-stars and other recurring roles for the first season of ‘Scream Queens’ will be announced over the coming weeks. Nick Jonas is best known for his role in the Jonas Brothers, the pop-band he performed in with brothers Kevin and Joe.
SCREAM QUEENS is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association Ryan Murphy Television. The series is co-created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. Murphy, Falchuk, Brennan and Dante Di Loreto will serve as executive producers.
