A new film starring Emma Watson has been confirmed today, and it should be a popular ticket in theaters. Following Disney’s latest trend of live-action film adaptations, the next installment will be a live-action retelling of ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ and the film will star Emma Watson herself.

The famed actor talked about playing the role of playing Belle saying, “Time to start some singing lessons.” “I will be playing Belle in Disney’s new live-action Beauty and the Beast!” Watson told her fans on Facebook this morning. “My six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons.”

The film has some wonderful talent behind the camera as well, including director Bill Condon. Fans of Condon work may remember him from directing ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,’ one of the highest grossing films in the Twilight saga.

Disney’s latest live-action films include ‘Maleficent’ which starred Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning and Sharlto Copley, and ‘Cinderella’ which is set to star Lily James, Hayley Atwell and Helena Bonham Carter. The second ‘Alice and Wonderland’ film is also set to release in 2016.

Hot of the casting news, the film is also scheduled to begin filming this year, though an exact release date has not been given at this time. Watson recently played the role of Ila in the biblical epic ‘Noah’ starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Hopkins. She also will appear in the film ‘Regression’ (currently in post-production) as Angela Gray. Fans of Watson will also see her in the role of Lena in ‘Colonia,’ directed by Florian Gallenberger. The film tells the story of a young woman looking for her abducted boyfriend. She is also rumored to appear in ‘La La Land,’ a musical-comedy starring Miles Teller.

Disney’s new ‘Beauty and the Beast’ film will be produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman.
