Gigantic news for X-Men fans was quietly revealed tonight on Twitter. It has been revealed that three new-stars will be picking up roles in the next installment. The film still doesn’t have an official tile, but X-Men Apocalypse is getting a fantastic cast.
In a tweet posted earlier this evening, director Bryan Singer announced that Alexandra Shippp will take on the mutant Storm, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones) will be the new Jean Grey, and Tye Sheridan will lead the X-Men crew as Cyclops.
They will join stars Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum, Evan Peters, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman and Oscar Isaac in the upcoming blockbuster.
Directing the film will be Bryan Singer, who also helped write the script with Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. The news was just announced this evening, more information about the project will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The film currently has a May 27, 2016 release date.
