The CW is sticking with its terrific line-up of dramas this year and next, the network made eight early confirmations this year to prep fans for the upcoming seasons. There won’t be too many changes in the 2015-16 season, in-fact, the same eight scripted series are coming back for another round.
CW has spent a good deal of time and money in improving its primetime lineup, and it seems the network feels that last year they got it just right. It just goes to show, you don’t fix what’s not broken. The renewed shows are: “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Jane the Virgin,” “Reign,” “Supernatural,” “The 100,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals.”
“Each of these series have helped define what the CW is today, a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming, targeting a savvy adult audience,” said CW’s Mark Pedowitz. “By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s storylines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees the CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 line-ups.”
It’s safe to say that if you were a fan of CW last year, then this year should fit you just perfectly. The CW also set premiere dates for new drams “iZombie” and “The Messengers.” “iZombie” will premiere on Tuesday, March 17 and “The Messengers” will premiere on Friday, April 10.
