After a few grizzly reports earlier this year, Stephen Collins has finally confessed to previously molesting several minors in his past. The confessions stems from a PEOPLE interview the actor recently gave, admitting to some of the worst crimes we have on the books.
In the interview Collins stated, “I did something terribly wrong that I deeply regret,” admitting to inappropriate sexual contact with three female minors, this from the official statement released to People magazine.
As we reported earlier the confession comes after Collins’ then-wife, Faye Grant, secretly recorded a therapist visit that she atteneded with Collins, the two were going to marriage counseling at the time pof the recording. At 67 years-old things haven’t been going well for the actor, who now confirms there were at least three victims between the years of 1973 through 1994. Collins stated that he has not, “had an impulse to act out in any such way” since then but did confess to the earlier acts.
“Forty years ago, I did something terribly wrong that I deeply regret. I have been working to atone for it ever since. I’ve decided to address these issues publicly because two months ago, various news organizations published a recording made by my then-wife, Faye Grant, during a confidential marriage therapy session in January, 2012. This session was recorded without the therapist’s or my knowledge or consent.”
