Golden Globe Nominations: Birdman soars, war-movies disappear

Earlier this morning the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the full-list of nominees for the Golden Globes, and as expected ‘Birdman’ is taking the lead as we head into 2015 and the Academy Awards. The film also leaped ahead during this week’s SAG nominations, but this morning it took seven nominations including best actor (Michael Keaton), best supporting actress (Emma Stone), best director (Alejandro González Iñárritu), and for best picture, musical or comedy.

If you are looking for snubs then you might notice that Angelina Jolie and Clint Eastwood are missing from the list, as Unbroken and American Sniper received zero nominations from the HFPA. Fans can watch The Golden Globe Awards when the event airs on NBC on January 11, 2015. This year’s award-show will once again be hosted by the lovely comedy-duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
