There will be one-less Doctor on hand at Shulman & Associates, the series will be moving on without one of extra gynecologists in season three. That doctor is Adam Pally, the actor will be leaving “The Mindy Project” in early 2015 as a regular, but you still may see him off-and-on in season four.

The move comes after Pally signed a two-year deal with ABC, he will still appear on the series (when available) should the Mindy Project need to finish-out a few story-lines with his help. Pally is a recent addition to the series, having just joined in season two filling the role of Dr. Peter Prentice.

The show is doing very will on FOX, so much so that the network has bumped the season order from an original order of 15 episodes, to a 21 episodes order. The show is currently in its third-season on FOX and stars Mindy Kaling.
