Walt Disney Studios has added a popular young star to ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,’ Brenton Thwaites will be joining Jack Sparrow on his next adventure according to the latest casting confirmations. Returning to the series in the next installment will be Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, and Geoffrey Rush will once again be playing Barbosa.

The film is expected to start shooting next year in Australia for almost half of the year. Thwaites will be joining the cast as Henry, a British soldier. Other possible additions to the cast include Javier Bardem, who is currently in final negotiations to star as the villain, a formerly-alive sea captain who blames Sparrow for the death of his brother. The ghostly pirate is searching for a mysterious object of lore to help him exact revenge on Sparrow.

Fans know Thwaites best from his previous work in Disney’s Maleficent, The Signal and the recent YA adaptation of The Giver.
