Earlier today, HBO officially announced that Westworld will be coming to HBO. The futuristic new drama will star Anthony Hopkins and is set to release in 2015. The announcement was a bit unusual for HBO, the network released an odd Vine post on the company’s Twitter account. Fans may know the series if they read Michael Crichton’s 1973 film of the same name, if not the series will be happy to catch you up along the way.

The story centers on an adult amusement park outfitted with cyborgs. The cast is quite amazing, starring James Marsden (X-Men), Ed Harris (A Beautiful Mind), Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler), Thandie Newton (The Pursuit of Happyness) and Jeffrey Wright (Casino Royale).

All of these stars will join the great Anthony Hopkins debuting in his first series regular for television. Jonathan Nolan (Interstellar) and Lisa Joy (Burn Notice) wrote the adaptation, Westworld will be produced under Nolan and J.J. Abrams.
