Universal took the top spot at the box-office this weekend with ‘Dumb And Dumber To,’ the long-awaited sequel to the Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels comedy released in 1994. The comedy-duo returned to their roles this weekend, pulling-in $38 million at the box-0ffice across the nation and bumping Disney’s animated tale ‘Big Hero 6’ from the number-one spot.

Big Hero 6 still managed to take-in $36 million this weekend, raising the film’s domestic total to $112 million. Taking third place this weekend was Paramount’s sci-fi epic ‘Interstellar,’ starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain. The film earned $29 million this weekend but fell short of passing the $100 million mark with $98 million over two-weeks.

‘Beyond The Lights’ from Relativity Media hit a distant fourth place, the film saw $6.5 million this weekend, marking the first weekend for the film to hit theaters. Rounding out the top-five was ‘Gone Girl’ from 20th Century Fox, still filling theaters across the U.S. and adding $4.6 million to film’s total; which now sits at just over $153 million.
