ABC threw almost a dozen new characters into the new season of ‘Once Upon a Time,’ and apparently that wasn’t even all of them. The cast is getting a new character by the end of the season, and it is none-other than the puppy-stealing spinster Cruella de Vil.

The most recent episode of “Once Upon a Time” surprised fans with news that Elsa (Georgina Haig) and Anna (Elizabeth Lail) had an aunt that disappeared during their childhood, and no we don’t mean the evil Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell), this an all new aunt to the show. The two Frozen sisters don’t remember the aunt because their memories of Aunt Helga were erased, stolen from Arendelle by Pabbie the Troll.

Enter Victoria Smurfit, who accidentally confirmed her casting to OUAT with a Tweet sent out on Wednesday. The star spilled the beans saying, “Super excited about playing Cruella for such an iconic show as @OnceABC,” then she deleted it when ABC probably ripped open the fabric of Twitter in a rage of the reveal (we assume).

Cruella might not be the secretive aunt, but ABC loves having every new character somehow relate to one-another, so we think that she fits the role of missing aunt, and puppy-snatcher all mixed into one.
