CMA Awards 2014, Doobie Brothers, Hunter Hayes, Jennifer Nettles added to line-up

ABC has booked a long-list of terrific acts for the “The 48th Annual CMA Awards,” the network recently announced that the Doobie Brothers, Hunter Hayes, Jennifer Nettles, Michael McDonald, Thomas Rhett, and Cole Swindell have been added to the performance lineup. “The 48th Annual CMA Awards,” which is hosted for the seventh time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, airs live WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Ashley Monroe has been added to Blake Shelton’s performance. Superstar performances previously announced include Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Kacey Musgraves, Paisley, Shelton, George Strait, The Band Perry, Underwood, and Keith Urban. The CMA Awards has a long history of presenting cross-genre duets and 2014 is no exception with Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor performing with Little Big Town and Lambert respectively.

Presenting trophies during the three-hour gala are super-model Lilly Aldridge, Darius Rucker, and CMA Awards nominees Lee Brice, Brandy Clark, Brett Eldredge, Martina McBride, and Kip Moore. Previously announced presenters include Connie Britton, Garth Brooks, Lucy Hale, Tim Tebow, Steven Tyler, and Trisha Yearwood.

Chris Young will host the Pre-Telecast CMA Awards ceremonies (6:30 PM/CT). Winners for Musical Event, Music Video, and Musician of the Year, as well as the 2014 CMA Broadcast Awards winners for Radio Station and Personality of the Year will be recognized.
