Earlier this year Microsoft announced that the company will lower the MSRP of XBOX One bundles by $50 going into the holiday season. Now the day has come, not only are most retailers taking $50 off the standalone Xbox One, but you can also save $50 on the Xbox One bundles as well. The promotion started today and is expected to go throughout the holiday season.

Xbox spokesman Larry Hryb (aka “Major Nelson”) announced that today was the launch day for the promotion on his blog. This is a limited-time event, lasting only until January 3, and only for US customers. We should note that bundles to have a tendency to sell-out, so if you are hoping to gift one then you might want to jump on the this holiday promotion as early as possible.
