Taylor Swift rocks Good Morning America stage for 1989

As the latest Global Welcome Ambassador for New York City tourists, Taylor Swift is closing down shows left and right. The popular ‘Shake it Off’ artist just wrapped her performance on Jimmy Kimmel this week, and now she shutdown part of NYC to blast her latest songs for a good cause.

Taylor Swift was the most charitable celebrity of 2013, and it looks like she would like to keep that honor. Swift announced that she will be donating all of the proceeds from her 1989 track, “Welcome to New York,” to local NYC public schools. Swift then performed earlier today (Thursday, October 30), on “Good Morning America”‘s Time Square stage. Swift performed “Shake It Off,” and even teased a new tour that has yet to be announced.
