After weeks of teasing, Razer has officially announced the Leviathan 5.1 Channel Surround Sound Bar. The new device features Dolby technology, cutting-edge sound drivers, and a dedicated subwoofer.

The new sound bar is Bluetooth v4.0 compatible with aptX, featuring a connecting range of up to 10 meters. The 5.25” downward firing subwoofer synchronizes two full ranged drivers and 2 tweeters in the sound bar as well. The 5.1 virtual surround sound is made available via “its two speakers by converting stereo and digital 5.1 channel audio into 5.1 virtual surround sound.”

“The opportunity to produce a precision-engineered surround sound solution for high-performance gaming, movie watching and music listening, and make it versatile to use in any setting, was a very exciting proposition for us,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “The Razer Leviathan delivers what music aficionados, movie buffs and gamers alike are looking for to improve their entertainment setup.”

The new device will be made available through pre-orders today, starting at $200 through the official Razer store. You can checkout the full list of tech specs and details on the Razer’s official launch-page here.
