J.K. Rowling will release new Harry Potter story on Halloween, featuring Dolores Umbridge
Get ready Harry Potter fans, J.K. Rowling has announces that a new Harry Potter themed short-story will release one-week from tonight. The story will be made available to all on the author’s Pottermore.com website, bringing with it a tale of the cruelest Headmistress Hogwarts has ever seen, Dolores Umbridge. Fans know the evil Umbridge best from her pink outfits, and awful treatment of Harry Potter and crew during his fifth year at Hogwarts.
The announcement was made earlier this evening, the 1,700 word short-story will feature a, “back story about Umbridge’s life filled with many new details, as well as Rowling’s revealing first-person thoughts and reflections about the character.”
“Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters,” states the Pottermore.com announcement, “she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry.” In the Death Eater world, that’s one of the biggest trophies you can have we suppose.
Fans can read the story on Halloween night by visiting the Pottermore.com website.
