Another star of HBO’s epic series ‘Game of Thrones’ is headed to the big-screen, Nathalie Emmanuel will be joining the sequel to this year’s big YA release ‘The Maze Runner.’ Fans of the Game of Thrones series know Emmanuel from her role as Missandei, the former slave turned interrupter and confidant to Daenerys (played by Emilia Clarke).
The casting discovery comes just weeks before the second Maze Runner film, ‘The Scorch Trials,’ is set to begin filming; the project is set to begin in November. Emmanuel will have welcomed company on the set when she arrives in New Mexico, Game of Thrones co-star Aidan Gillen (he plays Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish in the series) is also set to appear in the film. They will be joining Rosa Salazar, Giancarlo Esposito and Dylan O’Brien on-screen.
In the sequel, Emmanuel is set to play the role of Harriet, a leader who commands a small gathering of girls that have escaped another maze that encounters O’Brien’s group.
